I think there needs to be some way to prevent spammers from joining. An example? Some member called jkkjkjjfhyaasass. Started a thread on hentai. I didn't even bother clicking the thread. We all know what's there.
But yea, seriously... 1. Prevent spammers from joining 2. ...Filter suggestive content Just my two bits. |

Thank you for your input. Please don't think that we are turning a blind eye on the issue. We do notice these things and are working to fix it.
Please be assured that we are working very hard to block these spammers. The other mods and myself monitor the board regularly and do all that we can to prevent these posts. I am confident that there will eventually be a better solution but for now we are doing all that we can. |

I agree--what do you guys think about having legit (non-free) emails? That would really solve the problem....
Let me know, thanks!

Yeah...it's helped other forums (would need to use your comcast, aol or others).
Dunno--just a thought?

I can see how that would work but I know many people don't use any of those. I, for example, only use gmail accounts.
Also, AOL mail is free now. 1) Does the forum sign up process require email validation? I cant remember if it does or doesn't. 2) Is it possible to 'lock out' new members from making a new topic until they post in an 'Introduce Yourself' forum? Just have people say something like "Hi, My name is Jason." I would think that would verify true accounts. Just my 2 cents... |
